This is an example of a simple stone top cut with CNC. I supply the stone fabricator with a CAD (DXF) file to run on their machine and a simple dimensioned drawing as shown below to double check dimensions and,,,Bob's yer uncle! No templates necessary and the accuracy is reliably high. |
| This is an example of a more
complicated top cut with CNC. The overhangs on this piece were not the
same at the apron as at the legs or back splash and important to the
look of the piece. The same procedure as mentioned above was used. A DXF file was sent to the fabricator along with a dimensioned drawing to verify dimensions and to prevent any scaling issues in tranfering files and the results are excellent and precise. PHOTOS Also note in the 3d view of this island the steel support shown. Putting a 3d view of that part in a shop drawing for the steel fabricator saves 1000 words. |
